In most cases your cell phone has an external antenna port. Normally it is behind a rubber plug that is located near or below the antenna. In some cases, where no external jack is present, our adapter couples the antenna by way of coils encased in plastic either looped around the existing antenna or placed close to it by a clip. 
All adapter cables come with a quality Male FME connector (unless otherwise noted) to attach to an external antenna or our boosters. Charging adapters come with 2 connections, one to hook up phone to antenna, and the other a cigarette lighter plug to charge the unit at the same time.
